Zaa Zaa Zoomba!

A couple of weeks ago I signed up to participate in a Zoomba-thon.  Whaat? I've never even been to a Zoomba class!  And now I'm going to a Zoomba-thon?!  Yup!  A few of my friends and co-workers who are Zoomba regulars (read: fanatics), convinced me to sign up by telling me I will have a lot of fun, but more importantly, it is a fundraiser with all proceeds going to earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear victims in Japan.

I didn't want to be a complete newbie when I showed up for the Z-thon so today I went to my first Zoomba class! To be honest, I was a lotta bit nervous about going to my first Zoomba class, but despite feeling slightly awkward and uncoordinated I had a great time!  I don't know if I will become a regular but I think I have few more classes in me!

Things to do...

The Real Simple Ultimate To Do List is kinda amazing, especially for someone like me who loves to make lists and is actively trying to start 2011 as happy, organized, and clutter-free as possible.
I downloaded (and printed the list) and so far my list includes:
Booking a hair cut

Booking our flight to LA Donne's wedding
Airplane, aviation, airplane flying
{via}

Visiting L.Joy and her family before they move to Texas

Organizing my Bedroom Closet

Oh! Hello, Cupcake!

Today a GREAT friend brightened my day by bringing me a homemade cupcake!  The cupcake was deliciously moist but my favorite part was the frosting!!!

The frosting was fudge-y but hot heavy, and not too sweet, almost like a dobash frosting.  This got me thinking, dobosh frosting isn't too difficult to make and would be a great and unexpected way to jazz up a box of the Mister's favorite, devils food cake!  In fact, the recipe I have has only six ingredients:
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup (sweetened) cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup cornstarch

As I continued to enjoy my cup cake I was in for a great surprise:

OMG there was a fudge filling in the middle!  Ooohh! So good!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Azure, for sure!

Today I received an invitation to dine with a couple of great girlfriends at Azure in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.  I have never been, but I have heard some wonderful things about it! It is a beautifully chic restaurant!
Now I just have to figure out what to wear!

The ladies and I got together @ the Kahala for an special afternoon and high tea. We all had a wonderful time catching up and laughing!
This was our first Holiday Tea; I hope it becomes an annual tradition!
